In love with the CoCo

I have been using the Vita Coco coconut oil properly for 3 months now. I used to use it sporadically here and there and then thought I would give it a proper go and use it every single day on my skin (and in my cooking!).

There are so many benefits, but here is a list of the benefits I personally found the most useful:

1) Moisturiser - kiss that dry, flaky skin goodbye. It can be used all over the body and on the face. It also boosts collagen production and will keep wrinkles at bay.

2) High heat point - this is how high a temperature it can reach before the natural impurities in the oil begin to burn. For coconut oil it means it does not breakdown until around 350 degrees so replace that vegetable oil with this stuff. Use it for when you are cooking on high heat such as frying! No brainer, right?! 

3) Hair conditioner - I use it on my hair and leave it in over night, before washing it off! Results? Lovely, luscious hair that is healthy.

4) Body exfoliator - Mix together equal parts coconut oil and sugar. Use in the bath and shower to have soft skin.
