My Guide to Paris.

I just spent the most amazing weekend in Paris. This is my guide to the 5 essential things you just have to do if you visit this beautiful city.

Eiffel Tower – of course no trip is complete without a trip here. If you are not too fussed about actually going in the Eiffel tower, and just want to take pictures of it in the background then you should check out the viewpoint at Trocadéro. This has got to be the best (free) view of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. If you want to splash some cash, go for drinks on the roof terrace of the Four Seasons.

Brunch – this is becoming a ‘thing’ in Paris. We went to “Frenchie to Go” and I was impressed. It’s very laid back, you have to order at the counter and your food will then be brought to you. The menu is on a chalkboard above the counter. It’s very shabby chic. However, it does get busy and they don’t take reservations so go early to avoid disappointment.

The Louvre – you can’t really go to Paris without taking a peak at the Mona Lisa in this beautiful museum. Even if you didn’t want to go and see the gallery, you can still go inside and take pictures. Definitely worth a visit.

Ladurée – for the ultimate Parisian tea experience head to Ladurée on Champs Elysées. I went for Valentine’s weekend with my fiancé and we almost turned away because the queue just looked way too long. But I’m glad we waited as it was only 10 minutes until we were seated.

Go for macaroons, tea and the cake. We had the ‘plaisir sucre’ (Crispy and gourmet Dacquoise cake with hazelnuts, praline and milk chocolate topped with milk chocolate whipped cream… just divine!)

Rue Crémieux – The street I shouldn’t tell you about but I will because well, I’m nice like that. We stumbled upon one of the most instagrammable streets in Paris close to Paris Gare de Lyon metro stop. This street is a bloggers heaven; the backdrop of beautiful pastel coloured houses are just so pretty to look at. If you do go, be discreet – it is a residential street after all.
